A majority of this debut album was recorded in the basement of my home in southern Maine. In the winter of 2010 I began compiling beats produced mostly by my friend and fellow MC Zack Leng, also known as O*Zee. Other producers on this album include Tweak from Boston, Beat Blocked Productions from California, and Decompoze of the acclaimed Detroit hip hop group Binary Star. Artists collaborations include Spose (ME), Envy (ME), Decompoze (MI), One Be Lo (MI), Cryptic Wisdom (AZ), Ryan Augustus (ME), Shane Reis (ME), and O*Zee (ME).
This body of work is a very proud accomplishment for me and I hope that you enjoy what I have to offer. Releasing a debut album is extremely nerve wracking because, as an artist, you never feel your work is quite good enough. It is difficult to release a compilation of work knowing that you havent met your full potential just yet. However, this work (down to the title) is a means of documenting where I am right now. It's a documentation of what I believe in politically, personally, and philosophically (in terms of hip-hop, life, etc). It is a documentation of my skill level not only as a rapper, but also a developing song writer as of 2010-2011. This album is a major introduction to me: a varied spectrum of many things, which is why I tried to make the feel of every track as diverse as I could. I hope you listen very close to the lyrics and enjoy the different vibes of the instrumentals. Thank you for your support!
